We ordered this thermostat because we had a good experience with the Lux brand in two previous homes, and the Hunter brand we tried first was nearly impossible to program. However, the Smart Temp feature on this Lux thermostat makes it almost impossible to override the pre-programmed settings to to what WE want. Consequently, we are fiddling with the thermostat settings more, rather than less, with the new model. If the Energy Star features on this thermostat are a harbinger of things to come, i.e., Big Brother is mandating where to set our thermostats, heaven help us!

Product is very good for the price. It should save me money and pay for itself when the hot weather hits.

Easy to Install, very friendly just read the directions carefully. Very easy to use. You really do not need any more than that. No touch screen needed. This is great

Maybe we've done something wrong, but DO NOT like this item!! No matter what we set it for .. in a few hours the house feels too warm again and when we check, the temp is 81!!
We've called the manufacturer, and trusted that they'd helped, but here we are again at 81 and sometimes 82. Yikes! Not our preference at all!
We're sorry be bought this - don't know if we can return it. :(

The Item I purchased was a different revision than the one I chose. Fortunately it still worked. I'm not sure why the TX1500E that I purchased was different but the one I "wanted" had an exernal oushbotton light that I really liked in the unit upstairs. The one that shipped did not have a external button for backlight and also has a humidity indicator that I find useless.
